Karen Giles serves as an advisory board member for the Varkey Foundation. She has taught and led in London schools for twenty eight years. She currently serves as Headteacher, a position she has held for thirteen years.
Karen is also a Local Authority School Effectiveness Lead Professional, working with leaders in sixteen schools.
Karen has been a Leadership Coach for the Future Leaders Trust since 2012 which includes leading and facilitating a variety of mixed phase coaching groups and workshops as well as working with both Primary and Secondary participants through Foundations and beyond to headship, Vice Principal and Deputy Headteacher positions.
She served as an OFSTED Inspector from 2010-15.
Karen has previously facilitated many National College Leadership programmes and training for headteachers and aspiring leaders. She has been appointed as a Coach for the pan-London GLA Getting Ahead programme and a Primary Director for the London Leadership Strategy.
She was the winner of the London Region National Teacher Award for Enterprise and Innovation in 2009.
