Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton

Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton retired as Principal Private Secretary to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry (2005-2014). Prior to that, he spent five years in the security sector, designing security solutions for not-for-profit organisations operating in hostile environments.

He co-founded Objective Team, a company training journalists and others working in hostile environments, and young travellers on personal security and safety. Previously, he was an officer in the British Army, serving in the Irish Guards (1979-1987) and the SAS (1987-1995).

He is a trustee of the HALO Trust, the world’s largest humanitarian mine-clearance charity, the Varkey Foundation and the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, and is Chairman of the Invictus Games Commission. He is a Deputy Lieutenant of Suffolk, an Honorary Master of the Bench at Middle Temple and an Extra Equerry to The Duke of Cambridge. Jamie is married to Susie. They live in Suffolk with their four children.
