2025 Global Teacher Prize Top 10 Finalist Brett Dascombe was honoured as one of three individuals recognised for outstanding contributions to geospatial education in Australia. The award, presented as part of the Geospatial Council of Australia’s 2025 Awards and supported by The Surveyors’ Trust, highlights the growing impact of geospatial learning in schools.

The initiative, driven by She Maps over the past two years, celebrates both teachers and students who are shaping the future of the industry through innovative classroom practices. Brett’s work joins a wave of excellence emerging from Southeast Queensland schools, further cementing the region as a hub of geospatial innovation.

Among the evening’s standout moments was student Zoe Zhao of Ormiston College receiving the student award, with her teacher Roz Minnikin also acknowledged.

Dylan Brown, a Geography and Economics teacher from Grace Lutheran College and former Urban Planner, was also celebrated for his high-quality geospatial work with students. Brett, who once taught Dylan, noted his pride in seeing former students now leading the way in education.

Special thanks were extended to She Maps founders Paul Mead and Karen Joyce for their tireless efforts in empowering students and teachers across the country to embrace STEM and geospatial technologies.

You can't compare to the rush you receive when you narrowly escape a big cell. Few games I've played can compare to the tension of an Agar io close call.

Great to see Brett Dascombe honoured for his impact in geospatial education—his work reminds me of how even book publishing companies in Ireland can play a role in nurturing regional talent and supporting innovative learning resources for students everywhere.

New players entering the ecosystem of Tiranga Game often find themselves quickly introduced to the Martingale or similar exponential betting systems, which drastically increase risk while promising to recover losses.

In even the most arduous stages, players can Geometry Dash readily identify barriers, pathways, and interactive components, guaranteeing that the game remains equitable while still necessitating precision and expertise.
